A message from your Secretary
Despite the high co st of fuel, we had 244 shoot ers in Vanderpool
and were blessed with beaut ifu l weather. The 15
th
Annual Hill
Country Shoot and Youth Championship at the Bug Scuffle Ranch
had a great turno ut. I hope everyone enjo yed the shoot as much as
I did. We want to thank all those who participated and all t hose
who helped to make this shoot po ssible. We owe a special thank
you to t he Ranch and to Bryan and Debbie Keeling . Everyone
should know ho w much work Bryan and Debbie actually do to
make this shoot possible, from manicuring the property and the
shoot trails, to set up, tear do wn and clean up. They are much ap-
preciat ed!
The raffle was a lot of fun and very successful. The ro cking chair
was a bit hit. We had two raffle winners to announce. The vendor
raffle went to the Girl Scouts who cooked for us all weekend and
the score card drawing went to Steve Hill, both received $100. Our
members and vendo rs were all extremely genero us with do nations.
Thank yo u!
We are in the process of reconstruct ing t he TBoT website. TBoT
should be back o n the web soo n . Most of you know that we lost
our webmaster of many years, and fellow archer, Dan Lo ckhart
who recently passed away fro m illness. He will, without a doubt,
be missed.
I want to personally welcome Wesley Adams, our new editor and
t hank him for accepting this po sit ion. Pink Feathers shoes (or
sho uld I say moccasins) will be hard to fill but Im sure Carol will
enjo y her break after all these years as editor.
The ballot for electio n of officers is enclosed. Please co mplete and
mail it back to me. Your vote is important. Yo u can also vote by
email or phone.
We have so me new life members, Ron Foley, Pete Piper, Doyle
Mitchell, St eve Shedd and Todd Smit h. We will be send ing out
certificates suitable for framing to our Life Members. If you are a
Life Member and d id no t receive a certificate or plaque, please let
me know.
See you at the shoots!

Editors Comments
I just wanted to say hi to all and ask for a little leeway with the
newsletter. Empt y spaces, leaving anything out etc. As I am learn-
ing, I think my learning curve is on a 5% grade. But it has been fun
and I loo k forward to putting out more in the future.
Im open to any suggestions and crit iques , as long as they arent too
harsh.
